Iraq Apology
:: Why ::
The 'Iraq Apology' initiative is designed to empower registered users to facilitate the process of establishing social and emotional repair for, to and from those affected directly and indirectly by the conflict in Iraq. An appeal to the only common emotional ground we share.
:: How ::
Essentially, users are taking a poll and becoming signatories at the same time. Users register with a valid email and zip code then create a username and password then proceed to use a multiple choice format to select options regarding:
• Who they wish to apologize on behalf of - themselves, their country, their government, sorry but don't apologize, etc…
• Who they want to apologize to – Iraqi civilians, Muslims in general, the world, families of dead soldiers, etc…
• What they want to apologize for – deaths of Iraqi people, loss of security, the initial invasion, staying too long, etc…
• Other basic info and opinion topics – political preferences, what should be done next, exit or stay? Was the invasion justified?, etc…
